Marquee FAQs
The time taken to install the marquee can vary depending on size, location, complexity and internal finish required. Small family occasions are normally completed in one day but some larger events may take 2 or 3 days. Very often they can be installed a day or so ahead of the function date to allow the client preparation time.
It is difficult to give hard and fast rules as so much depends on the type of function, the layout of the function and the site space available (which can determine the width of unit supplied). We are happy to advise on the size/type of structure required which can be determined very quickly given a few basic details e.g. guest numbers.
No, it can be erected on any flat surface, although grass is by far the easiest. All other surfaces would require pin holes drilled in order to ensure the marquee remains secure. These are made good upon clearing the site. Water and weight ballast can also be used to secure marquees if the surface cannot be pinned e.g. paving or cobbled areas.
Obviously the flatter the surface the better, especially if a floor is to be incorporated. However, the marquee can cope with a gentle slope.
Whilst the Clearspan structure can cope with harsher weather conditions than traditional marquees, it is still a temporary structure and can be vulnerable in extreme wind conditions. Snow is also a hindrance to the Clearspan system as the weight can put a strain on the covers in extreme conditions. Under these circumstances, heating levels need to be increased to keep roof sections clear.
